Valley Park - Pathways to Ballet.
Valley Park – Pathways to Ballet brings accessible, high-quality ballet instruction to families at Jesse Higginbotham Valley Park Community Center. The program provides an opportunity for children to experience the art, discipline, creativity, and joy of ballet in a welcoming community setting.
Classes are taught by Elena Corn and include bilingual instruction in English and Spanish, creating an inclusive learning environment for students and families.
Pathways to Ballet is an extension of Bluegrass Youth Ballet’s community outreach efforts, designed to reduce barriers that can prevent children from participating in structured dance education.
The program offers ballet instruction for young dancers in a convenient neighborhood location at Valley Park Community Center. Through consistent weekly classes, students develop foundational ballet skills while building confidence, coordination, musicality, discipline, and creative expression.
The program is designed for families who may face barriers related to transportation, cost, or access to traditional dance programming.
Ballet 1A & 1B (Ages 5–6)
Fall Semester: 12 weeks
Tuition: $120 for the semester
Payment option: 4 payments of $30
Attire: Provided - (Girls): Leotard, tights, ballet shoes, (Boys): Shirt, pants, ballet shoes
Ballet 2 (Ages 7–9)
Fall Semester: 12 weeks
Tuition: $240 for the semester
Payment option: 4 payments of $60
Attire: Provided - (Girls): Leotard, tights, ballet shoes, (Boys): Shirt, pants, ballet shoes

Affordable Access to Ballet
Pathways to Ballet offers significantly reduced tuition compared with traditional Bluegrass Youth Ballet programming.
The program is intended to make consistent ballet education more accessible to families in our community. Additional tuition assistance may be available through Bluegrass Youth Ballet’s Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) for families who need additional financial support.

Pathways to Ballet is part of Bluegrass Youth Ballet’s larger commitment to making dance accessible throughout the community.

As students progress, Pathways to Ballet also creates a pathway for families to engage with Bluegrass Youth Ballet’s broader programs, performances, and educational opportunities at our main studios on Southland Dr.
